South Beach

Went on a dingy ride yesterday to do a little exploring. Tied up at the Miami Marina for free cause we ate at the restaurant...had 2 free hours so we went walking to the beach. It was a great day here in paradise! BTW you can click on any pic to make it bigger!

Miami

We left West Palm Beach early this morning and arrived here in Miami close to sundown. Was a pretty long slow day because of many many bridges and no wake zones going through all the coastal cities including very busy Fort Lauderdale. I am pretty sure we will wait for a good weather window and go outside on our return trip! It really amazes me how many people there are in America with a lot of money by all the beautiful homes I have seen and big yachts for toys.
We will stay a few days here then head further south to Marathon and beyond. We continue to have a great time!

Christmas in West Palm Beach

Got in to the anchorage yesterday at sundown and plans are to stay till Sat. morning. Weather is getting warmer now as we make our way further south which is very much welcomed! Went exploring a little today on the dinghy and had a pizza and a couple beers on the beach. Days go so quickly when you are having fun! This lighthouse was actually on Jupiter Island on the way to West Palm...tried to upload pics here today but my "borrowed" internet connection wasn't being very nice this evening..will try tomorrow

Getting ready to leave St Augustine

The plan was to leave St Augustine today, 12/18/09, but the weather is rainy and windy so departure will be sometime in the next few days. We have been here for a month and are ready to move on to even warmer nicer weather.
